Asha Bhosle, the legendary Indian  singer, has been entertaining music lovers for over sixty years.  Childhood and Family:


Asha Bhosle was born on September 8th , 1933 in  , Maharashtra, India from a Marathi family. His father, Deenanath Mangeshkar, was a famous classical singer and stage actor, and his mother, Shevanti, was a homemaker. Asha was the third child in the family with two older brothers, Lata Mangeshkar and Hridaynath Mangeshkar, who  also became famous musicians.

Asha’s childhood was marked by poverty and struggle. Her father died when she was only nine years old, leaving the family in dire straits.
